A bowl made by the Bristol pottery c1910, painted with pink roses in the style of Wemyss. The diameter is 6.5 inches (16.6 cm). Marked, on the back, with a retailers mark for "Maple London", "Bristol Hand Painted" and facsimile initials for George Stewart. See Levitt pages 43, 44 and 68. Similar designs were produced for the life of the pottery. |

A jug made by Pountney's c1950. The height is 5.3 inches (13.2 cm). Painted, in polychrome under the glaze, with a "delft" floral pattern. The pattern is called "Passion Flower", it was designed and probably painted by Frances Ashman. Sarah Levitt, in "Pountneys", at page 65 shows this pattern. |
