Part of Crews Hole and St Annes in 1902

It shows the location of the Crews Hole pottery, the two fireclay works, and the Brislington delftware pottery.  The public house, near the Crews Hole pottery is the Lamb Inn (now derelict) - see Bristol's Lost Pubs.  The first recorded landlord was George Woods in 1830, and the last William Morse in 1944.

The 1882/3 map shows the Fireclay Works site (on the right) as the Crown Clay Company.  The Fireclay Works site (on the left) was well developed and also may have been the Crown Clay Company, but it has no caption.  However an 1891 plan of the area (BRL B6523) does not show anything like a pottery at the site on the right, however this plan may be incorrect.  The Crews Hole pottery is as 1902.
