.The Goldney Family

.Gabriel Goldney resided at Goldney House in Clifton, and was born on 11th April 1765 and died on 7th February 1837.  He married Elizabeth Bracher on 2nd February 1790.  She was born in 1763 and died on 29th September 1809.  Both were buried in Elberton in Gloucestershire. 

The marriage produced 16 children.  The eldest was called Thomas, but he died in infancy.  The 12th child was aslo called Thomas and he died on 24th October 1856, never having married.  This may be the person who entered into a partnership with Anthony Amatt.  The last child was called Gabriel and he may have been the person who went into partnership with J D Pountney.  He married Elizabeth Paramor and there were two children, Mary and Gabriel.  Mary (described as of Edinburgh) died on 1st May 1903.
